Khanna The town was founded by Khanna Rajput &
derives its name from him. However, it has come to
be pronounced as ‘Khanna’ through common usage.
Khanna is situated on the main G.T. Road and is
approximately 45 K.M from Ludhiana/Chandigarh. Today
the town assumes importance because of its Grain
Market, the biggest in Asia, which does flourishing
business all through the year. Khanna has its own
industrial importance. The town is famous for its
schools and colleges, civil hospital, veterinary
hospital and boasts of having three dharmashalas.
